Business Honor

“We are on a mission to lower the barriers to entry for both consumers and businesses by rapidly expanding access to fast, affordable and conveniently located public EV fast charging.”
Established in 2018, EVCS is focused on rapidly expanding public EV charging infrastructure throughout the U.S. The company is committed to supporting the shift to clean, carbon-free transportation by making EV charging more accessible and affordable. Removing barriers for consumers and businesses, EVCS deploys fast, public EV charging stations in convenient locations at an accelerated pace.
EVCS's Turnkey Charger Installation program offers site owners a no-cost solution to install EV chargers. The company absorbs all capital and construction costs, managing the project from the initial planning stage to activation. This model provides site owners with a new, incremental revenue stream while allowing them to focus on their core operations. Additionally, EVCS oversees government rebates, grants, and other incentives to minimize the financial burden on site owners. Retail locations will benefit from increased foot traffic and in-store sales, while all participating sites contribute to the greater good of carbon-free transportation. By offering this zero-cost solution, EVCS aims to expand the adoption of electric vehicles and provide accessible charging options across the country.
EVCS: Building a Carbon-Free Future
Founded by Gustavo Occhiuzzo and Ian Vishnevsky, EVCS is the result of an opportunity to accelerate electric vehicle adoption through strategic partnerships with businesses for public charging infrastructure on the West Coast. Their goal was to overcome the pain points experienced by property owners when it came to hosting EV chargers and increasing public access to fast charging stations.
Drawing on the experience of sister company Green Commuter, which ran an all-electric vanpool fleet, Occhiuzzo and Vishnevsky introduced a truly disruptive approach to power mobility. A turnkey solution that taps public and private grants, rebates, and financial incentives eliminates the need for site owners to make an upfront investment.
This enabled the company to increase its number of fast-charging stations from zero to more than 170 across California, Oregon, and Washington. EVCS offered free installation at no cost to the property owners and thus was instrumental in facilitating growth of the EV charging infrastructure in critical areas without upfront investment from property owners.
