Kerry Group strengthens leadership team with key appointments for global growth and innovation.
The Kerry Group, the world leader in taste and nutrition, recently announced a series of senior executive appointments intended to strengthen the leadership team of the company for the next phase of growth. Oliver Kelly has been appointed Group Chief Commercial Officer, while John Cahalane becomes president and CEO of Kerry North America, and Peter Dillane takes on the role of president and CEO of Kerry Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa.
The appointments are timely because of the strategic divestment by Kerry to extricate itself from the dairy processing business altogether and thus drive forward in line with its focus on the science-backed taste and nutrition solution providers to food, beverage, and pharmaceutical clients across the world. This forms part of its overall restructuring toward an evolved shape in a move designed to take it on toward future success in key markets.
He will be Group Chief Commercial Officer, driving global commercial effectiveness and customer relationships. Oliver Kelly is based out of the company's headquarters in Beloit, WI, US, and manages Kerry's global growth accounts and oversees the global marketing team.
John Cahalane, formerly Group CCO, will serve as President and CEO of Kerry North America. That will put him in the leadership position for the largest market measured in headcount, with over 6,000 employees and 50 manufacturing sites, and responsible for delivering business and innovation in that geography.
Peter Dillane has been promoted to Kerry APMEA, which covers an enormous geography of more than 3 billion people spread across 118 countries. In this dynamic market, he will take advantage of the best local and global expertise to help Kerry increase its footprint among new and existing customers.
These executive changes align with the retirement plan of Malcolm Sheil, the long-serving Kerry executive, who will retire at the end of this year, following a 36-year career at the company.
